Gillian Jacobs........................Jacobs was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Martina Magenau Jacobs is the grandmother of Gillian Jacobs. Jacobs was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her parents were her father William F. Jacobs Jr. Lebanon. She is of French German Irish Scottish and Scottish roots. Her family operated the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery established in 1847, in Erie Pennsylvania where her grandfather John Martin Magenau Jr. served as President and CEO until its closure in 1978. Jacobs went to Pittsburgh's Pittsburgh Playhouse on Saturdays to learn acting lessons. In the ages of eight, she started her acting studies. When she graduated from Mt. Jacobs, who graduated in 2000, Lebanon High School, moved in New York City New York to study at the Juilliard School. She graduated in 2004 with her bachelor's degree.
